All About Bandung


Bandung is the capital of West Java in Indonesia. Bandung is 180 kilometers southeast from Jakarta. Although it has a population of over two million the pace of city life is slower than Jakarta's. Today Bandung has a population of 2 million people, Bandung area an estimated 4 million. Bandung is situated on a plateau 768 meters above sea level with a cool climate throughout the year. Bandung is the most European city of Java. The raining season starts in Bandung a little bit earlier, then the rest of Indonesia. Normally the raining season in Indonesia is from October till May, the peak of the raining season is in January. The dry season is from June until August, temperature is then 25-30 degrees Celsius during the day. In the morning, the sun is almost shining every day, but in the afternoon many times it gets cloudy, for sunbathing we have to wake up early from 6.30 the sun is already there. In the evening when the sun is down the temperature has drops. The average temperature in Bandung is 22 degrees Celsius; the weather is pleasant all year round.

This wildlife preserve is 295 hectares, the wild animal such as : lion tiger, wild buffalo, komodo, rhinaceros, bison that live in open area. Lies at the slope of Mt. Arjuno 800 – 1.500-meter sea level cover 340 ha and divided three zones. Wild life zone, place for visitor observing a natural wild life.
Every Sunday we can see that circus of Taman Safari Indonesia Jl. Prigen. Baby zoo zone place for visitor to getting photos and closing to the baby animals. 
Taman Safari surrounded by the beautiful panorama and fresh atmosphere, it also has supporting facilities such as; recreational park for children. There are dozens of rides and games designed to be fun for people of all ages. Elephants, Camels, Ponies and Ilama are always exciting for children. Don't forget to visit the restaurant and souvenir shops to relive the adventure.

You also can take a picture with young Orang Utans, white and the endangered Sumatran tigers, African Lion. The location Taman Safari Indonesia is in the highway between Jakarta and Bandung West Java. It is just  80 km drive from Soekarno – Hatta International Airport Jakarta or  only 1.5 – 2 hours by vehicle. While from Bandung , it is 78 km or 3 hours by car.
